I woke up early in the morning, say 5+? Bathed and get ready. Took dad's car to centre and reached about 7am. LOL. Damn early huh? Then did some activities with the kids. (: Andrew really impressed me this morning when I allowed them to play kuti kuti. He put lion and tigers together. When asked why, he said that they are fierce animals. I mean, yeah, it don't seemed impressing to you. But their foundation as k2s are far too much behind then other k2s I've seen. And this is the first time that they played with kuti kutis. YES! Imagine k2 already, and this is their first time to play with such manipulatives. (can I call them manipulatives anyway? o.o) But whatever it is, he impressed me this morning. Then Kimberline did Join the Dots. Zhen Wei is another adorable one in the morning. Only in the morning. LOL. Eh, actually overall for today, he is quite well behaved lar. Except for screaming and shouting in the toilet before lunch time.
Anyhow, today I 随随便便 did a lesson with the kids in the centre. But an ultimately successful one though. LOL. I took the guppies that I bought last night to the centre today. And that is why I need dad to drive me to centre this morning mar because I am carrying a medium size tank with heavy pebbles as well. Anyhow, I planned to 不声不响 put the guppies inside the tank and place it in the Science corner. But this relief teacher in the morning, teacher Sophia told the kids that I've brought something to show them. Then I was like, What the !@#$%! So like being a 鸭子赶上架, I had to show the kids my guppies. I let the children guess the animals that I brought. I put it in those small red plastic bag. It's kind of translucent, so able to see through. Not as in really see through lar, but more of you can see something swimming around. So there are answers like swordfish, electric eel fish ($#@!???), angelfish, shark (worse! -_-"), duck (I wonder that kid knows what are fishes or not. Thank goodness he never said chicks. If he did, I will hang myself on the spot) and some other unknown fish like Wei Lun fish (??? By the way, that's one of the kid's name. LOL).
And then, answer's GUPPIES. And some of the kids pronounced like gagies, guppins, gakies (?? sounded like Kaki. LOL) and some other funny names. They were made to pronounce it a few times to get the name right. Hahaha.
So, it's supposed to be classroom pets. So obviously, we should have classroom rules to protect the survival and animal rights of our beloved guppies. LOL. So another student teacher helped me to write them on the whiteboard while I interact with the children. Wah, tell you, the kids ah, WAH LAU EH (quoted from my mentor. LOL. I think whenever she said this, she looks super funny), super talkative. I think the list will just go on and on without seeing an end. Their mouth like cannot stop like that. Tsktsk.
Then we started decorating our fish tank, creating the appropriate living environment for the
Then, eh. Oh, the whole class crappped a little bit more, talking about their experiences with fishes, their feelings if they are the fishes moving into a new house, their emotions when they know that they are being bought from the aquarium shop, and etc. Lastly, they were being told to draw guppies on a piece of paper and write a few lines about their drawing.
And there! One lesson done! (: And oh, the follow up was language art, talking and sharing what they know about fishes. And of course, Q&A session to satisfy the kids' curiosity and doubts.
A pat on the shoulder for me! :D Heehee! A lesson done without a lesson plan, and everything was so impromptu. At the end of the day, I started questioning myself how did I did it. Hahaha.
Well, the three student teachers showed our lesson plans to the principal for her to vet them. One by one, all was called into the office. Mine was the shortest. LOL. Chop chop, done. Because she said, mine was the best. Wahahaha! Okay, kind of proud, should control a little now. Heehee. Then when Huizhen asked me what did principal told me to change in my lesson plan, I told her only the follow-up lesson time, from 20mins to 10mins. Her face was like saying: What the !@#$%. Because I think the principal changed quite a lot for her in her lesson plan. And Kimberly's too. Only mine, need to edit the duration.
Alright. I better sleep now. (: It's EP swimming tomorrow, but as usual, I wouldn't be going down into the pool. LOL. And oh, my Teck Peng fell down and knocked his head. He had stitches and poor him. ): (Just some wishful thinking, did the knock affect his cognitive level positively? Okay, I think I should stop thinking about useless things lar) Sigh. ):
Goodnights! Everyday is a better day. :D
