Anyway, I went to Johor with Jeff yesterday and we had a whole lot of fun! ((:
And if you're asking me why don't I need to work on Tuesday, I took leave. (:
And so, I appeared at the bus stop in front of his house early in the morning at 9am (oppsie, not very early) with Hong Kong style Chee Cheong Fun (the one with prawns and char siew inside). The housemates were in so we sat down watching television since it was too early to go into JB. Finally, after hours (like 2?) of nuah-ing, we finally got out of the house for the wonderful experience.
With that, we took a cab down to the checkpoint because Ms Peishi was too lazy to take a train/bus to Woodlands/Kranji. Lol. I was so excited alright! Like it has been long since I stepped into JB for shopping. In fact, I haven't really shop in JB before, most prolly just walked by the shops. HURHUR.
We walked around in City Square to get me warmed up or in actual fact, cool down from the excitement before I started my shopping spree. I wanted to buy a plain vest and pumps/heels. So after cooling down, we ate at this highly recommended (by Jeff of course!) shop/cafe on the second level after making sure that they have my 杨枝甘露. I swear, it was the most delicious yang zhi gan lu I've ever tasted. With the sweet pomelo together with each spoonful of sweet-sour mango puree and bouncy (pardon my descriptive verbs) sago seeds, I voted it as the best yang zhi gan lu in the world (until I try the next best yzgl lar!). Hmm, it was actually very pretty at first, but hurhur, I forgot to take a peekture of it until I stirred and started globble down. Lol.
Caught in act and I swear I didn't pose okay?!
And I ordered a 澳门猪扒包 to come along with it since I wasn't that hungry. But unfortunately, to my horror, it's a giant size burgur. =.=
And look what's inside-
The pork chop that you see inside, has a distinctive 麻油 smell in it, but not too much to make you feel like puking. What I mean is, it's just nice. (: Though it's a little chewy and I got to cut with a tweeny weeny little bit of force before it's mouthsize bite.
Jeff ate this 牛扒焗饭 and it was just as good that I almost want to eat half of his bowl. Lol. I have to admit that I was like Ha-ha-Your-rice-doesn't-look-so-good-and-I-am-not-going-to-help-you-eat-nor-change-my-food-with-you kind of thinking. But unfortunately once again, I was wrong! It's sooooo.... SLURPY! Did I said slurpy? Did I? Did I yes? Did I no? Okay, I think I mean yummy.
After walking around with zero buys, we met up with his friends at the Action city. Oh, that was when he got me a keyboard vacuum cleaner (the duck one which I got for Nancy for Graduation gift) and a Tigger little cuttie! Heyhey! Having to mention that, I wanted to bring it over to work today, but sadly, I forgot. ):
Had a drink at Starbucks, sitting at the comfy sofa.
The Malaysia street.
The funny friend. Look like a chao ah beng. =X
